So, we have a situation where no one is in danger.

But the police are called to make sure no one might potentially get hurt at some time in the future.

When the police arrive, a peaceful situation becomes violent and someone dies.

This is what these laws do.

Congratulations, virtue signalers. You are demanding violence where none exists. You are insisting on a gun being used where none is being used. You are clamoring for definitive violence from the state to prevent potential, hypothetical violence that probably will not occur.
