According to the NY Times, a “Police Body Camera Bursts Into Flames; New York pulls 2,990 from Use.”

Anyone else a little bit dubious about the camera “blowing up” spontaneously, like  Spinal Tap drummer?

I am dubious about most everything. It does not mean I know it did not happen. It means I just do not accept it as true because someone said it happened.

Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill is quoted as saying “nothing is more important than the safety of our officers.” Not the citizens of New York? Not protecting the innocent from crime? How about truth? How about justice?

Nope. Not as important as the safety of the officers. And they might shoot you or your dog to prove it.
